The Pininfarina PF200 is a concept car presented at the 1952 Turin fair on chassis and mechanics Lancia Aurelia B52. It was born as a show car, not intended for the market. A stylistic exercise to amaze the most demanding clientele at car shows and in congresses of elegance.
It has a tapered line that recalls the fuselages of the military jets of the time, equipped with a large air intake on the front. So it was that for the first time, with great pride, Pininfarina signed the Lancia Aurelia with its initials "PF".
It is difficult to establish the exact number of PF 200 products produced. A fire in the Pininfarina factory seems to have destroyed the documentation relating to the model, but it is believed that between '52 and '55 were built between 5 and 8 cars, including spider and coupe, of which perhaps just under half is arrived today.
Each specimen has different characteristics. There are no two identical. Of the 2 or 3 spiders produced, the specimen reproduced in scale (chassis number B52 1004) is certainly the most sought after to have belonged to the singer and actor Renato Rascel who, after the purchase, held him for six years with himself in Rome at the time of the Dolce Vita.
This Lancia PF200 is the only one left in Italy, lovingly guarded by an important collector, owner of Pac, Puglia Auto Classica, a company specialized in the rental of historic Italian cars for luxury tourist tours.
In 2016 it was the self-image of Automotoretrò of Turin.
